Attractions in Washington DC

When traveling with the family, or without, don't skip the Attractions in Washington, DC, home of the White House, which does offer visitor tours. Washington DC is the capital of the United States and offers attractions that are full of history, arts and entertainment as well. Washington DC borders Virginia and Maryland, and also is adjacent to Potomac River. If you enjoy museums and architecture, visit the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, Ford's Theater, Jefferson Memorial or the Woodrow Wilson House. Visiting all the monuments will take awhile because there are many to choose from.

Visiting the Library of Congress, National Archives, Millennium Arts Center, Folger Shakespeare Library, National Geographic Society's Explorer Hall and Georgetown University are some of the educational attractions where you can dive into knowledge and learn more about the history of the area and the nation. Don't forget the visit all of the monuments of the past veterans who fought in the wars for the country, or visit the famous sites of historical battles.

In addition, whether you are traveling alone, with other adults or children, almost everyone enjoys a zoo day, where you can visit the National Zoological Park or the National Aquarium.
